Brief description

Map4Fostercare is a transformative initiative designed to reinforce foster parent education by integrating flexibility and resilience into existing programs. Aiming to arm foster parents and professionals with a broad spectrum of training, from psychology and functional medicine to coaching and Philosophy for Children (P4C), the project aspires to cultivate a sustainable model. Through a train-the-trainer program, it will engender mentors for ongoing learning, ensuring foster parents are well-equipped to meet the multifaceted needs of children in their care.

Objectives

  • Elevate Foster Parent Education: To offer an enriched, multi-disciplinary training curriculum that addresses the comprehensive needs of children in foster care.
  • Foster Continuous Learning: Establish a mentorship framework that promotes ongoing development for foster parents and professionals.
  • Cultivate a Supportive Community: To build a network of trained mentors among foster parents and professionals, fostering peer support and shared growth.
